| Mrs. Radford says "I don't see that there's any harm done" when a candidate breaks the law. Her petition said clearly you can't sign more than once. Doesn't everyone know that already? Did she not even read her own petition? Signing official documents without reading them is dangerous conduct for anyone, but particularly bad for a public official. Isn't it "doing harm" to break the law, or to sign without reading? Is this the kind of public official we want? Her next defense was that she got "excited." There will be many exciting moments for the next county commissioner. Is it OK to break the law if you were "excited" when you broke the law? Her party's candidate when she was a Democrat was Bill Clinton, who said perjury was excusable since it was only about sex. Mrs. Radford says her crime is OK because she was also excited. Do we really want a Bill Clinton mentality in El Paso County government? |
