Westword Letter |
| Thank you, Douglas Bruce, for all of the work you have done to control the "out of control" spending of our state government. You are a hero to all of us, even though you don’t hear that very often; I admire your courage and tenacity. |
| 02/10/2010 |
Douglas Bruce, the ‘hero’ |
| Bruce is a private citizen. He is a champion and hero of taxpayers both locally and statewide. He is free to hire petition gatherers for any cause he wants, free to allow the use of his rental property to anybody he wants, and he does not have to answer to Barry Noreen or The Gazette for any of it. |
| 12/26/2009 |
Well wishes for Bruce |
| I for one, am enthusiastic with Mr. Bruce. He is an outstanding patriot who cares about our Colorado Springs life, liberty and the pursuit of “low taxes.” |

Tea Party - SIGN UP HERE |
| I am a HUGE fan of yours and respect you MORE than any other politician out there. I hold you right up there with Ronald Reagan (a very high honor that no one else has achieved). |

Email from Carlene Jelovchan |
| There are few politicians these days who can be compared to our founding fathers, and you sir are one of them. |
| 03/16/2008 |
Email from Mr. K. Mario McNeill |
| The purpose of my email is to say thank you for standing on your morality! If one was to step on my family bible, regardless to their intention, I too would be extremely upset. |
| 03/15/2008 |
Email from Mark Lusardi |
| As a family man living in America over the years I dreamed that someday a statesman such as your self would arise and lead the charge against our innately corrupt government.. |
| 03/15/2008 |
Many in area still support tax-cutting legislator |
| There`s a clear reason why his detractors must use rather childish measures against him. I say the TABOR fan club is alive and well hereabouts. |
| 03/07/2008 |
Email from Richard Sisco |
| You`re an inspiration to me much like Jesus, Ronald Reagan, & the Beatles. Thank you. |

Email from Joe Maus |
| Rep. Bruce has an exceptionally consistent background of not wanting to waste a single taxpayer`s cent. "Resolutions" almost without exception are wastes of taxpayer funds. |
| 02/22/2008 |
Email from Don Wrege |
| As an objective listener outside of your representation, allow me to offer that I, for one, found the way Dan Caplis in particular has treated you on the air to be somewhat disrespectful bordering on insulting. |
| 02/19/2008 |
Email from Ed Vigil |
| As a Veteran who fought in the jungles of Viet Nam and Cambodia, I want to thank you for the effort you have placed on helping us veterans. |
| 02/19/2008 |
Email from Steve Burk |
| So, good luck to you up there in the Capitol and thanks again for all you`ve done for us `out here`. TABOR was a stroke of genius, and it`s appreciated by everyone...except Liberals...
which makes it even all the better. |
| 02/18/2008 |
Email from Anson Rohr |
| As a Desert Storm veteran, I fully support Rep. Douglas Bruce. He is absolutely correct that the business of the legislature is protecting the interests of the people of Colorado, not empty statements of "support" from legislators who lie about their professed love of the military. |
| 02/15/2008 |
Email from Lorrie Lunnon |
| I would like to SHAKE YOUR HAND, for NOT adding your name to the resolution I.E. recognition of the Army, Navy and Marine men and women... You did NOT dishonor or disgrace them in any way... |
| 02/15/2008 |
Email from Lois Wise |
| I hope you had a chance to view today`s Colorado Springs Gazette - the editorial page as well as letters to the editor. I know you have a great deal of support, and today`s comments only add to the fact that many agree with you. |
| 02/15/2008 |
Email from KEVIN W KELLEY |
| I`m a retired AF officer in Colorado Springs and have been a supporter of yours for years. I want to let you know that I still support your efforts to trim government waste, both of money and time. |
| 02/15/2008 |
Email from James Castrodale |
| As a veteran (USMC) and part of the "Christian right" group I would just like to say that they (resolutions) ARE a ridiculous waste of time and money (you are on the clock). |

Email from Col. Phillip Rose, Retired |
| I agree with you for not supporting ceremonial or other non-substantive legislation regardless for whom it was proposed - its a waste of our government`s time and effort - |
| 02/14/2008 |
Email from John Sunderman |
| As a veteran and retired military member, I understand your reasoning and wholeheartedly support your position--and I`m not offended as some would easily be. |
| 02/14/2008 |
Email from David G. Olson |
| If the House chamber was "filled with members of our Armed Forces," a simple acknowledgment of their presence should have been sufficient, unless there is a move afoot to intentionally discredit Mr. Bruce by calling for a vote on such a useless resolution. |
| 02/13/2008 |
Email from Stephen Turner |
| Sir, I read about your no vote on the veterans resolution. I`m a veteran and I support your assertion that government has more important things to do then make resolutions. |
| 02/06/2008 |
Precinct 208 Resolution |
| Here is the Resolution that passed overwhelmingly (only one vote against) in our Precinct tonight |

Email From the Mayor of Roseville, MN |
| My take is that it is in rather poor taste for a photographer to be snapping shots during prayer. I am a photographer and doing something like this just wouldn`t even cross my mind. It is sad to see that this photographer seems to have absolutely no values. |
| 01/26/2008 |
Has Public Lynching Returned to Colorado? |
| Let us not forget that this (Douglas Bruce`s) same backbone-and persistence over three election cycles-gave us the TABOR. Were there more good citizens like Douglas Bruce. |
| 01/26/2008 |
God bless you Doug |
| I suppose the Colorado assembly thinks in retrospect , you should have put your arm around the photographer and read him a bedtime story huh? My heart just bleeds for this idiot. |
| 01/25/2008 |
Email From Gary Whiting |
| I can`t get past the total disrespect shown by the likes of Steve King, Romanoff, etc., towards God, the "prayer time," and particularly those of you who take prayer
seriously. |
| 01/17/2008 |
BULLIES AND HYPOCRITES IN THE HOUSE |
| Judging from what I have read in the papers, I am appalled at the lengths to which the House will go to attempt to embarrass, humiliate, and bully you, Douglas Bruce! |
| 01/16/2008 |
Letter to John Andrews From Anson Rohr |
| This state owes a great deal to Mr. Bruce, and yet, when he needed help from his fellow Conservatives, they turned out to be more afraid of bad press, than the spectre of a legislature infested with liberals. |
| 01/02/2008 |
Email from Deb and Tim Wittner |
| We are truly sad to see you go and uneasy about the future of our town, left in the hands of the thieves that currently run it, now that we won`t have you. |
| 11/16/2007 |
Letter From Mike Farcy |
| I received quite an education during the three hours I spent in the hearing room this morning. I think what I saw and heard was that the county is several million dollars in the hole for the year and yet approved spending $3.0m, is that what they really did? |
| 11/01/2006 |
You definitely resemble our country`s founding fathers |
| How City Council can keep a straight face when telling of all
that we benefit from their "leadership" leaves out some things of concern to me. For one, I'd like to see bidding employed on a much larger scale such as when selecting employees for jobs in the city and county governments. |

Re: Of Collectivistic Mice and Individualistic Men |
| I've known Douglas since 1987, longer than most Coloradans, and have worked with him closely in many of his campaigns, causes and accomplishments. I vicariously weathered the incessant, scummy, scurrilous and unfair, many times illegal and immoral attacks on him by the Denver City government concerning his Denver properties, in retribution for his limit government successes, and saw him railroaded into a brief Denver Jail stay for a blatantly staged Contempt of Court charge. |
| 10/23/2006 |
Of Collectivistic Mice and Individualistic Men |
| Douglas Bruce may be the closest any of us will ever come to the experience of knowing the likes of Thomas Paine, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, George Mason, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, James Madison, and some of the other notable Founders. |
